1100-1118 Lexington Avenue

Previously owned by the estate of Marie Cowing, 1100-1118 Lexington Avenue are two adjacent properties that offer 200 feet of retail frontage in the heart of the Upper East Side. Spanning the entire block between 77th and 78th Streets on Lexington Avenue, it is conveniently located next to the entrance of the 6 Train and bookended by the Lenox Hill Hospital as well as the Allen Stevenson School.

In 2015, members of our team were contacted by Friedland Properties, a family-run real estate investment firm, seeking to purchase the mixed-use multi family buildings. Freidland Properties is led by William and Rick Friedland, who currently own a significant real estate portfolio consisting of Madison Avenue retail, as well as residential and office properties throughout Manhattan. Friedland acquired the two buildings in 2016 for $52.6 million.

The pair of six-story rental buildings at 1100-1118 Lexington Avenue collectively offer 20 rental apartments across 28,000 square feet of residential space. With extensive experience leasing retail space on Lexington Avenue, members of our team also advised prospective tenants prior to fully renting out the 10,000 square feet of commercial space. Retail tenants include gourmet grocer Butterfield Market, Windsor Florist, Juice Press, Dunkin Donuts, and Koronet Pizza.
